8. GPS and Location Privacy
We take location privacy seriously. Here is exactly how GPS data works in Production Tracker Pro:
- GPS is only activated when a user taps "Clock In Now" or "Clock Out Now"
- We collect a single GPS reading at that moment — latitude, longitude, and distance from the factory
- We do not track movement, routes, or location history
- We do not collect location data in the background
- GPS data is visible only to company administrators (CEO and Manager roles)
- The GPS geofence radius is configured by the company administrator
- Staff members can see their own clock-in location but not other staff members' locations
Employer responsibility: If you are a company administrator using GPS clock-in, you are responsible for informing your employees about location tracking and obtaining their consent as required by applicable employment and privacy laws in your jurisdiction.
9. Cookies and Local Storage
Production Tracker Pro uses minimal browser storage:
- localStorage: Used to store user preferences (dark mode setting, tutorial status) and offline data cache. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers
- Firebase session: Authentication tokens are stored locally to keep you logged in
- We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies
10. Children's Privacy
Production Tracker Pro is designed for business use and is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.
